Instructions for arrival and set up are as follows:
Arrival time is from 7.45am
Arrival is from Hepworth Way (North Service Yard)
If you arrive before 7.45am then you MUST WAIT and queue along the North Service Yard Road on the left hand side (drive into the North Service Yard and turn around) so you don't block the entrance and definitely DO NOTBLOCK the main Hepworth Way
You may bring your vehicle onto the pavement but you MUST follow the safety guidelines (detailed below)
Pitches are allocated on arrival and you will be directed by someone in a High Vis Waistcoat.
You MUST unload your cars and then move your vehicle immediately to the car park to avoid causing obstruction for others
All vehicles must be offsite by 9am LATEST
Parking is available at The Heart/Sainsbury's and we have a flat rate of £2.50 for the day you pay at the end of the day
Once packed up you must go to the pay station and insert the token and then press the HELP button and tell them you are a trader at the Vegan Market they will change the fee due to £2.50 then you can pay (please don’t lose your yellow token as there is a £6 charge for lost tokens!)
Car Park Height restriction is 2.1/2.2 metres, however, there is further parking behind Homebase which is pay and display and you can use Ringo Parking App there too
You must be ready to trade by 9.30am and we will be inspecting to make sure that all structures are secured and safe.
Safety Guidelines
When driving onto the pavement you must adhere to all the following:
Ensure there is someone available in a high visibility vest to escort you on and off the pedestrian areas
Ensure you have your hazard lights on
Follow what the person escorting you on and off signals or says
Drive at 5mph MAX
Remember pedestrians have right of way at all times as this is a pedestrian area
Your structure and trading area:
You must pitch where you are directed to pitch by the Events Manager or Operations Manager
You must ensure your structure is safe, in good condition and weighted down properly (remember leg weights in case of any wind)
You must ensure you have checked all electrical and/or gas equipment is in good working order
You must ensure if you are serving food including cakes that you provide matting behind your stall to prevent any staining from any spillages that may occur
During the event:
Be mindful of any dangers to the public and yourselves, any issues please report immediately to one of the Management Team
Clean up or ask the Events Manager or Operations Manager or one of the team to help clean up or make area safe
You can only start to breakdown after 3.30pm or when given the all clear
Breakdown
We will give the all clear to start breaking down.
You MUST breakdown your stall before bringing any vehicles on to cause minimal obstruction
You must wait patiently for someone wearing a high vis to guide you back onto the pedestrian area
You must wait patiently for someone wearing a high vis to guide you off site
Remember pedestrians have right of way at all times as this is a pedestrian area
